I noticed that the Places Extension has icons in the dropdown menu. So I was thinking that maybe it would be possible to add icons this Logo Menu Extension as well. It looks cool and visually helps click on the menu without reading the text.

Hi! This is something which has been requested in the past, but hasn't been implemented yet, the main reasons being ->
The idea of the extension was based on being extremely minimal
Unlike places menu, some icons would need to be custom made or thoroughly checked, such as software centre or system monitor
The last time I added Icons, it didn't look the prettiest
Icons sometimes breaks or have unexpected behaviour based on the choice of distro, icon pack and different GNOME versions, which makes the life of maintainer harder
I can understand the quick visual indications Icons bring compared to raw text, and I appreciate it. But for now it's not on my radar.
Ok thanks. But can you help me out with one thing? Since adding icons is possible, can you tell me how can i add the icons on my end? Like I can get to the extensions code, but I don't understand coding that much. If you could give me an example file showing at least the process of adding one icon, I might learn it and use it own my own pc.
