LD2450 keeps showing “Max command length exceeded” in logs

Hi all,

I installed the device according to the instructions, but I keep seeing the attached error message in the logs (“Max command length exceeded”). I’ve already done several clean installs, but the issue persists.

Could you please advise what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks for reaching out - per the esphome developers on discord:

as long as it's reporting values for the various sensors, you can safely ignore the "Max command length exceeded; ignoring" warning.
the sensor emits data ten times a second, so if it misses an update, it'll just catch the next one.

Since this issue occurred, my HA has also stopped receiving updates. I’ve reinstalled the ESP Home app several times and even performed a factory reset on the Apollo, but the result remains the same:

We see this happen occasionally on the LD2450 and the fix is pretty easy - just download the HLK app as shown here: https://wiki.apolloautomation.com/products/mtr1/setup/zones-hlk/ then once connected to the ld2450 with the hlk app click the "restore factory" button and it should start working again. The LD2450 seems to get in a strange state and this kicks it back into working normally.
