How can I show or hide a module based on the view-width/screen-orientation?

I use waybar on a laptop that can go into tablet mode and rotate between landscape and portrait display modes. How do I get specific modules (e.g., brightness, audio, and network) to show only in a specific display mode (say landscape)?

The closest clue I could find to doing this was this discussion post here: #1990, but it has no responses, and I didn't want to necro-bump as it's been dormant for half a year.
