For convenience sake, there should be a flag to allow Anonymous (non-authenticated) access. Reasoning:

  1. This program is most typically run by tinkerers/admins to recover data and runs shortlived ...
  2. We should be port forwarding/binding to a local address anyway
  3. yes I realize that in case IP routing is enabled on the host, and an attacker is on the local network segment, there could be a way to ... but an --no-auth option should not be the default, anyway, and a warning could be logged.

Maybe this feature is already there / has already been discussed, but I cannot find anything about it either way.

Thanks for a great utility btw @AlexSSD7, this program has already helped me recover data from LVM volumes... 👍
