yes I realize that in case IP routing is enabled on the host, and an attacker is on the local network segment, there could be a way to ... but an --no-auth option should not be the default, anyway, and a warning could be logged.
Maybe this feature is already there / has already been discussed, but I cannot find anything about it either way.
