In principle that sounds OK to me, though personally I'd find that more annoying than helpful. However, I think this would require pulling in RandR to deal with multiple outputs since I assume "center" should refer to the center of the output on which the pointer currently is.
I'm not entirely convinced that this is worth adding such a dependency. Another approach could be just exposing a way to react to cursor hide / show, but not implement the cursor warp directly. This requires more thought, though.
Feature idea: when the mouse is moved and the cursor appears, place it in the middle of the screen so the user always knows where it will be.
