GUI app is stuck displaying balance_performance for EPP and EPB when in charger/AC mode no matter what is in the configuration file. I checked "real" behaviour with sudo auto-cpufreq --stats.

Hi. I reproduced this and traced it to the GTK entrypoint not loading the auto-cpufreq configuration before creating the window.
I opened #957 with a minimal fix. I also validated it with user/system config precedence and real GTK rendering using non-default EPP/EPB values.
