  • uv looks like a good potential replacement for pdm that's more performant and will play nicer with our monorepo workspace. We should explore whether it's worth switching to.

Tried using the UV experimental feature in PDM, was quite a bit faster. However, it broke docker containers in a way I couldn't immediately crack, so needs some more dedicated development time.
