Fetch Not Running with CommonJS Files

eleventy-fetch v4.0.1, eleventy v3.0.0

Files containing eleventy-fetch reliant functions in src/_data are not run when .cjs - switching to ESM solves the issue immediately. No debug messages or errors, seems to not even attempt to run rather than run and fail.

This might be a misunderstanding!

Can you run Eleventy in debug mode and see what it says?

You can only show Fetch entries like so:

DEBUG=Eleventy:Fetch npx @11ty/eleventy

That was one of my earlier debug attempts. The only output was

[11ty] Copied 540 Wrote 33 files in 0.31 seconds (v3.0.0)

Which is the right number of files, but the page using the fetch data is completely blank, .cache empty. That's with the exact command provided by you and by the Fetch docs.

Is the repo open source? It sounds like the data isn’t even being processed at all (independent of fetch?)

Unfortunately not an open-source repo, although I can share a (slightly censored) version of the fetch file if that helps.

That's URL and specific data stripped but you get a general idea of how I was running it. This was stored in a file /src/_data/table.cjs and imported in a Nunjucks template with {% for row in table %} and filters applied - the filters had to be temporarily removed though because no data got pulled causing errors.
